HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has processed UK tax credit change of circumstances in an average of less than ten days during the current tax year and is meeting all internal targets for dealing with changes. The CPS considers each case on its own facts and in accordance with the two stage test set out in the Code for Crown Prosecutors.The Code outlines that a prosecution is more likely to be in the public interest if the offence was committed against a person serving the public.
