<p>The government has committed to increasing the personal allowance to £12,500 and the higher rate threshold to £50,000 by the end of the parliament, enabling people to keep more of the money they earn by paying less income tax. 8 out of 10 working households will be better off as a result of changes announced at this Budget to the personal allowance, National Living Wage and welfare.</p><p> </p>
