	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/02/2022 answer text <p>The Prime Minister announced on 31 January that the Government is taking steps to ensure that any retained EU law on the UK statute book meets the UK’s priorities for unlocking growth and is tailored to the needs of the UK.</p><p> </p><p>Defra is fully engaged with the Government’s work to amend, replace or repeal all the retained EU law that is not right for the UK. Defra has an important role to play in that process.</p><p> </p><p>Along with other Government departments and the Brexit Opportunities Unit, we are currently taking stock of our retained EU law. We will then publish information on retained EU law, in line with the Government commitment.</p><p> </p><p>This work is planned to support the development of the ‘Brexit Freedoms’ Bill, also announced on 31 January. This bill will mean that retained EU law can be more easily amended or removed.</p><p> </p><p>My department is committed to making the most of our new-found freedoms outside the EU in Defra policy areas. We condemn any instances of discrimination because of religion or belief, regardless of the country or faith involved. We engage with India on a range of human rights matters and where we have concerns, we raise them directly with the Government of India, including at Ministerial level. Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister for South Asia, also regularly speaks to the High Commissioner of India, and human rights including freedom of religion or belief forms part of that dialogue.</p><p>The British High Commission in New Delhi and our network of Deputy High Commissions will continue to follow reports of violence and discrimination closely, while recognising that these are matters for India. It is for the Indian Government to address the concerns of all Indian citizens, regardless of faith. Our network of High Commissions across India also regularly meet religious representatives and have run projects supporting minority rights. For example, we have hosted Iftars to celebrate the important contribution Indian Muslims and other communities have made to Indian society. There are no delays in successful online applications and customers should receive their documents within a few days.</p><p>However, many people still choose or have to make a paper application and the DVLA receives around 60,000 items of mail every day. To help reduce waiting times for paper applications, the DVLA has introduced additional online services, recruited more staff, increased overtime working and has secured extra office space in Swansea and Birmingham. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/03/2022 answer text <p>E10 has been the industry agreed standard for petrol since 2013, and the reference fuel against which new cars are tested for emissions and performance since 2016. The impact assessment published alongside the Motor Fuel (Composition and Content) and the Biofuel (Labelling) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2021, which introduced E10, estimates that the change from E5 unleaded petrol to E10 is expected to reduce CO<sub>2 </sub>emissions by around 0.7 to 0.8 megatonnes per year. Switching from E5 to E10 is understood to have a relatively small impact on fuel economy of around 1-2 % and this was factored into the impact assessment. There are many factors that influence fuel consumption, making the effect of E10 difficult to assess on the basis of anecdotal evidence or monitoring.
