star this property answer text <p>Potholes are a menace to all road users and that is why this Government is taking action. We announced in December 2014 how we are allocating just under £6 billion for councils in England to tackle potholes and improve local road conditions over the next six years. This funding is on top of the £4.7 billion we have provided since 2010 – which is over £1billion more than in the previous Parliament - and includes £168 million awarded last year as part of a dedicated Pothole Fund.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>To ensure our long term connectivity needs can be met, the previous Government established the independent Airports Commission to identify and recommend to Government options for maintaining this country’s status as an international hub for aviation. Three options for expansion have been shortlisted by the Commission for further examination.</p><p>The Airports Commission has discussed and consulted on how airports outside the South East might be affected by expansion at the shortlisted expansion options. star this property answer text <p> </p><p>Investment in HS2 will deliver widespread connectivity improvements, grow markets and increase opportunities to trade.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Economic Case for HS2 published in October 2013 estimates that 17% of the transport user benefits of the HS2 Y-Network are generated from trips originating in the North West. This equates to benefits of approximately £342m (PV, 2011 prices) in 2036. Further analysis by KPMG suggests the wider economic effects could be far greater.</p> more like this
