star this property answer text <p>Public spending is prioritised through the Spending Review process and established in departmental business plans. <em>Managing Public Money </em>provides guidance on the management and best use of public funds, a key requirement of which is achieving value for money.</p><p>The Treasury (HMT) works in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure that its procurement activity delivers value for money for the taxpayer, is compliant with its legal obligations and supports the delivery of policy objectives. Contracts are awarded to suppliers submitting the most economically advantageous tender demonstrating the delivery of value for money.</p><p>HMT is contributing to the Government’s aim to spend £1 in every £3 with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), directly or through the supply chain, by 2022. star this property answer text <p>On 10 August 2022, the Department referred tixagevimab and cilgavimab (Evusheld) to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to evaluate its clinical and cost effectiveness for preventing COVID-19. Between 29 July and 12 August, NICE consulted with stakeholders on the suggested remit, draft scope and list of consultees and commentators.</p><p>NICE has commenced this evaluation and currently expects to publish draft guidance in April 2023, with final guidance to follow in May 2023. In discussion with AstraZeneca, NICE is expediting the appraisal process by bringing forward the deadline for the manufacturer’s evidence submission.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Vessels become non-operational either to rectify minor faults which only take a short period of time, because they are going into planned maintenance, including the requirement for annual safety assessments and certification and for work as part of our ship life extension programme or due to developing a more significant defect which was unplanned.</p><p>Border Force will always try to arrange for the longer planned maintenance periods necessary for our vessels to be undertaken, when operational demand is less.</p><p>For security reasons Border Force does not release information regarding individual vessels</p> more like this
