As the Prime Minister has said, the UK is leaving the European Union not Europe. Crimea and the Donbas are part of Ukraine – what Russia has done and continues to do there breaches its obligations under international law.</p><p>Together with partners, we continue to call on Russia to abide by its international commitments and withdraw its forces from all of Ukraine, including the Donbas and Crimea. We strongly condemn recent Russian aggression against Ukrainian vessels near the Kerch Strait. This is yet further evidence of Russia's continued violation of Ukrainian sovereignty following the illegal annexation of Crimea and construction of the Kerch Bridge.</p><p>The Foreign Secretary issued a statement on 26 November, and spoke with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister on 29 November to reiterate that the UK stands with Ukraine against Russian aggression. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2018 answer text <p>The UK provided £92 million in response to the damage inflicted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and matched public donations to the British Red Cross Appeal up to a total of £3 million.</p><p>£72 million of the immediate response and early recovery funding was allocated to the UK Overseas Territories. This was managed through the cross-Whitehall Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF). The UK provided £35m for immediate humanitarian assistance and for reconstruction on Dominica and Antigua and Barbuda. The UK has also committed £19m towards longer term hurricane and disaster resilience work in the region.</p><p>On 27 November 2017 the Prime Minister announced a further £70 million package of support for the affected Overseas Territories to be delivered over the next three years, supplemented by up to £300 million of loan guarantees. The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) statement of 6 December denounced the establishment of a police state in Nicaragua, characterised by daily violations of human rights, suppression of fundamental freedoms, constant climate of fear and intimidation against human rights defenders and lack of due process and access to justice. On 22 November, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) reported 586 political prisoners, and we are alarmed by reports of ill-treatment of these prisoners. We have made clear our concerns to Turkey regarding the risks of a military offensive in North East Syria, and stressed that our priority must be defeating Daesh.</p><p>We encourage the continued implementation of the roadmap agreed in Washington between Turkey and the US on Manbij. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/01/2019 answer text <p>2018 saw an 80 percent reduction, comapred to 2014 in the number of migrants crossing the central Mediterranean from North Africa to Italy – from 119,000 in 2017 to 23,000 in 2018, according to UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) figures. The number of fatalities on the central route has not reduced by the same rate. According to UNHCR the proportion of dead and missing compared to the number of arrivals doubled in 2018 to 5.6 percent from 2.4 percent in 2017. The largest proportion of migrants crossing the Mediterranean from North Africa during 2018 continued to be from Libya, although the proportion crossing from Tunisia increased during 2018. The British Government fully supports the Agreement, which will bring greater stability and prosperity to the region.
