	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2019 answer text <p>The broadband Universal Service Obligation (USO) will be available to every UK premise that is not receiving a broadband service that meets that minimum specification set out in the Universal Service Broadband Order 2018, up to the reasonable cost threshold of £3,400 per premise.</p><p>This includes people operating businesses from their homes in rural locations.</p><p> </p><p>Homes and businesses in some hard to reach area will soon be able to benefit from the Rural Gigabit Connectivity programme, announced on 19 May. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/04/2019 answer text <p>The Government is introducing a broadband Universal Service Obligation (USO) to meet our manifesto commitment that by 2020 everyone across the UK will have access to high speed broadband.</p><p> </p><p>The USO will be a minimum of 10 Megabits per second, from a designated provider, up to a reasonable cost threshold. We will keep the speed and quality parameters under review to make sure that it keeps pace with consumers' evolving needs.</p><p> </p>The proportion of households that have high speed broadband will also depend on whether occupiers of those premises choose to take advantage of the service when it is available to them. In addition, both the UK Government and UK Sport recognise the birthright of all the people of Northern Ireland to identify themselves and be accepted as Irish or British, or both, as they may so choose. This right extends to athletes from Northern Ireland having the choice to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland or Ireland at a national level in their given sport should they wish to do so. At times this will be subject to the overarching rules applied by the individual Governing Bodies of the sport.</p><p> </p><p>Sporting matters are devolved, and eligibility and selection for international competition remain matters for the relevant sports authorities. However, sporting organisations have an important role to play in contributing to inclusion in Northern Ireland and across the United Kingdom. These include a helpline to provide support to professionals working with children and young people with online safety issues; a hotline that provides an anonymous and safe place to report and remove child sexual abuse imagery and videos; and an Awareness Centre, which provides advice and support to children and young people, parents and carers, schools and the children's workforce.</p><p>Each year, the UK Safer Internet Centre coordinates Safer Internet Day across UK. This forms a key part of national online safety activity.
