The Code is produced by the Director of Public Prosecutions after significant public consultation. The CPS Legal Guidance is available for the public to see on the CPS website at <a href="http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/" target="_blank">http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/</a> .
