The Government’s response to the review of 'The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide (England) Regulations 2015' must take account of the recommendations from the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, led by Dame Judith Hackitt. The response will follow publication of the final report of the Hackitt Review, expected to be submitted in Spring 2018.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The link between access to nature and health has been long established, as both the built and natural environments are major determinants of health and wellbeing. <br> <br> This is already recognised in the Planning Practice Guidance and as part of the core planning principles in the National Planning Policy Framework. <br> <br> Local planning authorities should ensure that health and wellbeing are considered in local and neighbourhood plans and in their consideration of applications, including the provision of high quality open spaces and green infrastructure. Further to this, officials have worked closely with colleagues in DEFRA in the formation of the 25 Year Environment Plan, which was published on 11 January 2018.</p> more like this
