star this property answer text <p>The Government will bring forward legislation in the next session that, when enacted, will repeal the European Communities Act 1972 and ensure a functioning statute book on the day we leave the EU. This ‘Great Repeal Bill’ will end the authority of EU law and return power to the UK. The Bill will convert existing European Union law into domestic law, wherever practical, and in that context all relevant legislation is currently being identified and assessed.</p><p>The Government will set out the content of the Bill and its implications in due course.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The funding allocations from the £140 million announced on 9<sup>th</sup> March to help repair roads damaged by the severe wet weather were announced on 20 March 2013. This includes a further £33.5 million announced earlier this year as part of the transport element of the Severe Weather Recovery Fund. star this property answer text <p> </p><p>The Department for Transport is in detailed discussions with regional councils regarding two air routes that might qualify for support through a Public Service Obligation under financial provisions announced by the Chief Secretary to the Treasury in the 2013 Spending Round last July, to maintain regional air access to London. Of these, Dundee Council is currently tendering for an airline to operate a service between Dundee Airport and London.</p><p> </p><p>The Chancellor announced in this year's Budget that support will also be made available for start-up aid for new air routes from UK regional airports. European Union aviation State aid guidelines allow for start-up aid to be provided under certain conditions to facilitate development of new routes from Member State airports which handle fewer than five million passengers per year.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Transport is working with the Treasury to develop guidance clarifying how the Government will ordinarily expect to interpret the European Union State aid guidelines, and explain how the funding process will operate.</p>

star this property answer text <p>The government is currently developing its Aviation Strategy which sets out to achieve a safe, secure and sustainable aviation sector that meets the needs of consumers in a global, outward-looking Britain. As part of the development of the Aviation Strategy, government is considering what action can be taken to support growth while tackling environmental impacts. This includes putting in place a framework for UK aviation carbon emissions to 2050, which ensures that aviation contributes its fair share to action on climate change, including the UK’s domestic and international obligations. We will be publishing a Green Paper for public consultation at the end of 2018 and the final White Paper, Aviation Strategy in the first half of 2019.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The contingency traffic management measures of Operation Brock consist of three phases: a queuing and contraflow system between junctions 8 and 9 of the M20 (Brock M20); temporary holding areas at Manston Airport; and, if necessary, temporary holding areas on the M26 (Brock M26), if capacity has been exceeded elsewhere within the Brock suite of measures.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the design process of the Operation Brock measures, Highways England undertook legally required environmental screening exercises. These determined that full Environmental Impact Assessments were not required for either the Brock M20 or Brock M26 measures. The formal Notices of Determination were published in The Gazette on 24 May 2018 and 15 November 2018 respectively.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>For Manston Airport, environmental and habitat assessments were carried out to inform the conditions of the Town and Country Planning (Manston Airport) Special Development Order 2019 (SDO), which was laid before Parliament on 23 January 2019.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
