star this property answer text <p>From 3 July to 22 October 2018, the Government ran a public consultation on reforming the Gender Recognition Act 2004 in order to make the gender recognition process less bureaucratic and intrusive for the people that use it.</p><p> </p><p>We received over 100,000 responses to the consultation and we are now working to analyse these. The consultation closed on 31 May. Over 3,200 responses to the consultation were received.
