	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/01/2019 answer text <p><strong></strong></p><p>Exports of Paveway bombs are made under a long-standing Government-to-Government defence cooperation programme between the UK and Saudi Arabia. As such, the UK Government has full oversight of the exports.</p><p> </p><p>The UK has issued two licences for the export of Paveway bombs to Saudi Arabia: a Standard Individual Export Licence (SIEL) in April 2015 and an Open Individual Export Licence (OIEL) in March 2014, in accordance with the Consolidated Criteria. Details of these can be found in the published official statistics at <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data." target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data.</a></p><p> </p><p>I am withholding details of the number and value of bombs permitted by the SIEL as disclosure would prejudice commercial interests.</p><p> </p><p>OIEL applications do not include values because OIELs are generally not restricted by quantity. Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade on 16<sup>th</sup> July, the UK is preparing for an independent trade policy, including the ability to pursue bilateral trade agreements following EU exit on 29<sup>th</sup> March 2019.</p><p>This includes the possibility to negotiate free trade agreements with the US, Australia and New Zealand, and potentially seeking accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).</p><p>The Department for International Trade is committed to ensuring an inclusive and transparent trade policy. On 20<sup>th</sup> July 2018, it launched 14-week online public consultations. They provide everyone with an opportunity to share their views on these four potential future free trade agreements. The results of the initial consultations will inform the overall approach to our future trade relationship with the US, Australia, New Zealand and the CPTPP. If we launch formal negotiations with those partners, we will continue to engage with stakeholders on specific issues which may arise in the negotiation process.</p><p>The Department is putting in place the appropriate mechanisms to ensure that due consideration is given to responses, so that they effectively inform our overall approach to negotiations with partner countries. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/03/2019 answer text <p>The Government is keenly aware of the importance of our existing trade agreements to individual businesses and sectors across the UK. For example, the trade continuity agreement with the Faroe Islands is of particular interest to UK processing sector, with almost £200 million worth of fish and crustaceans brought into the UK from the Faroe Islands in 2017. The agreement will allow imports to continue tariff-free and enable businesses to trade as freely as they do now. Similarly, the UK-Swiss trade continuity agreement means the British vehicles sector could avoid up to £8 million a year in tariff charges on their exports that would apply if the agreement wasn’t in place.</p><p> </p><p>This is why we are committed to replicating the effects of these agreements as far as possible so that businesses have certainty and stability as we leave the European Union.
