The strategy created a system in which each prisoner was set on a path to employment, with prison education and work geared towards employment on release from the outset.

In line with this, we introduced new performance measures to record the rates of employment for prison leavers at six weeks post-release. The Department is scheduled to publish the statistical data for this on 25 July in an annex to Community Performance Statistics on Gov.uk, at the following link:

https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/prison-and-probation-trusts-performance-statistics
more like this

The Network places prisoners in jobs ahead of their release as well as facilitating Release On Temporary Licence (ROTL) placements, which offer continuity and can lead to immediate employment on release.

In addition, our new ROTL framework aims to increase the number of people these opportunities are available to by allowing more prisoners to access ROTL sooner and for longer.
more like this

unstar this property answer text
Really low and really high temperatures can impact an electric vehicle’s battery range. Currently, the operating temperatures for electric vehicle battery cells are -20°C to +60°C. Vehicle manufacturers compensate for this at pack level through pre-conditioning as well as heating and cooling systems, the drawback being that these draw energy. Applications in aerospace and defence have even more challenging operating temperatures. The Government has committed £274m to the Industrial Strategy’s Faraday Battery Challenge which includes understanding the effects of temperature further. The Challenge is supporting battery R&D from the Faraday Institution’s academic research through Innovate UK’s programme of collaborative R&D and to scale-up in the cutting-edge UK Battery Industrialisation Centre. One of the aims of the Faraday programme is to improve the operating range of battery cells, including to -40°C to +80°C by 2035 therefore enabling better performance and efficiency at higher and lower ambient temperatures.

Thermal loads from heating, ventilation and air-conditioning affect the battery range of electrical vehicles and is most critical for vehicles like refrigerated trucks. The Office for Low Emission Vehicle’s Integrated Delivery Programme is funding R&D projects aiming to maximise the efficiency of the electric powertrain and significantly extend an electric vehicle’s range further.

unstar this property answer text
The most common invasive fungal infection in the United Kingdom is blood stream infection with yeast, often following surgical interventions. Public Health England (PHE) has prepared advisory documentation for national dissemination and individual hospital response following recent outbreaks caused by this organism, which can be viewed at the following link:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/candida-auris-emergence-in-england/candida-auris-within-the-united-kingdom-updated-guidance-published

Invasive mould infections such as invasive aspergillosis are more often seen in patients with haematological malignancies or those undergoing treatment for them, and it is difficult to capture absolute data on the incidence of these due to difficulty in definitive diagnosis.

Chronic yeast infections are frequently seen in females that have suffered recurrent bouts of vaginal candidosis (thrush). Estimates suggest that 70% of women report having had at least one episode whilst 8% have repeated and persistent infections. Dermatophyte infections, including athletes’ foot are extremely common, found in about 10% of the adult population at any one time. Scalp and nail infections with these organisms are more disfiguring and difficult to treat.
