Of this, spend on PPE manufactured in the United Kingdom totals £96.2M.</p><p>The Department created the dedicated UK Make programme to increase domestic production. UK Make contracted with manufacturers in the UK able to mobilise and produce PPE for the frontline. However, not all UK-based manufacturers which provided PPE to healthcare settings were part of this programme.</p><p>The PPE programme raised contracts with 31 UK manufacturers and those contracts were all contracted by July 2020. These two contracts cover a wide range of services and are managed on behalf of the Ministry of Defence by our Prime Contractors, Babcock and BAE Systems.</p><p> </p><p>Babcock is contracted to support the Naval Bases at Devonport and Clyde, while BAE Systems supports the Naval Base at Portsmouth. Both Babcock and BAE Systems sub-contract these services further, but the Ministry of Defence does not hold information on these sub-contracts centrally.</p><p> </p><p>The provision of services under the Future Maritime Support Programme is currently under commercial tender and negotiation. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/10/2020 answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence takes the health and safety practices of its industrial partners extremely seriously and we expect suppliers to comply with all applicable regulatory and legal requirements.</p><p> </p><p>The health and safety performance of contractors working on the Maritime Support Delivery Framework Contract is routinely monitored as part of contractual governance provisions.
