	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/11/2018 answer text <p>As set out in the White Paper the UK proposes a UK-EU free trade area for goods, to ensure continued frictionless access at the border to each other’s markets, with no tariffs, underpinned by an upfront commitment to a common rulebook on goods, including agri-food and a Facilitated Customs Arrangement to avoid customs checks and controls at our borders.</p><p>However, in the unlikely event of a no deal scenario, trade with the EU will be on non-preferential, WTO terms. This means that most favoured nation (MFN) tariffs would apply to consignments between the UK and EU.</p><p>The EU MFN rates are set out in the EU's Common Customs Tariff (CCT). The EU may change these rates between now and March 2019, but this provides an indication.</p><p>The UK will apply its MFN rates to goods imported into the UK from the EU. The government will determine and publish these new UK duty rates before we leave the EU. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2019 answer text <p>The EU and the UK are committed to an arrangement with no tariffs between the UK and the EU. However, in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal, goods traded between the UK and the EU will be subject to the same requirements as third country goods, including the payment of duty. For UK exports to the EU, the EU will require payment of customs duty at the rate under the EU’s Common Customs Tariff (CCT). Full details are available on the EU’s website (<a href="http://madb.europa.eu/madb/euTariffs.htm" target="_blank">http://madb.europa.eu/madb/euTariffs.htm</a>).</p><p>The current third country duty on most types of motor vehicles is 10%, therefore the tariffs would likely be £1,500 for (a) and £2,500 for (b). However, more information is needed on the vehicles in question to provide an exact answer. In addition, the government has made a commitment not to reduce the standards of workers’ rights from EU laws retained in UK law and will ensure that new legislation changing those laws will be assessed as to whether they uphold this commitment. The Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union visited Northern Ireland on 1 September and I visited on 5-7 October. We engaged with the Northern Ireland Executive and key representatives of businesses and civil society, including roundtables with the retail, hospitality and agrifood sectors and the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action. I have also had discussions with Northern Ireland Executive Ministers for Justice, Communities and Infrastructure. On 13 August, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that the UK Government would guarantee CAP Pillar 1 payments throughout the UK until 2020. On the 3rd October, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that the UK Government would guarantee CAP Pillar 2 funding for rural development policies, including agri-environment schemes signed before the Autumn Statement and those signed after the Autumn Statement providing they are in line with strategic domestic priorities and are good value for money.
