Ministers and officials from DExEU <ins class="ministerial">and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy</ins> have met organisations including Which?, Money Saving Expert, the British Retail Consortium and Citizens Advice, and as part of our programme of cross-Whitehall engagement, we have plans to host a roundtable with consumer groups. We will draw on their expertise, understand their perspectives and work with them to test and validate positions as we prepare to leave the European Union.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We are working closely with affected companies across the UK steel industry to fully evaluate the impact of these measures on the UK. The total value of US imports of steel from the UK in 2017 was £360m which amounts to 7% of UK steel exports.</p><p> </p><p>We remain deeply disappointed that the US has decided to apply tariffs to steel and aluminium imports from the EU on national security grounds. The UK and other European Union countries are close allies of the US and should be permanently and fully exempted from the tariffs.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to work closely with the EU and US Administration to seek a constructive, permanent resolution to avoid further escalation that would harm businesses and consumers in both the US and EU.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Consultant-led non-urgent mental health treatments are covered by the general National Health Service 18 week waiting time standard.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, in 2016 NHS England published the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health which includes the following waiting times targets for mental health services, to be achieved by 2020/21:</p><p>- For accessing ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ services 75% of referrals should be seen within six weeks and 95% should be seen within 18 weeks;</p><p>- For eating disorder services 95% of referrals should be seen within four weeks for routine cases and 95% of urgent referrals should be seen within one week; and</p><p>- For the Early Intervention in Psychosis programme 50% of people experiencing a first episode of psychosis should start a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence recommended package of care within two weeks of referral, rising to 60%.</p><p> </p><p>We are on track to meet these targets, which are tracked on the Five Year Forward View dashboard, available at the following link:</p><p> </p><p><a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/mental-health-five-year-forward-view-dashboard/" target="_blank">https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/mental-health-five-year-forward-view-dashboard/</a></p>

star this property answer text <p>The UK is determined to make good on commitments to support companies to implement zero-deforestation supply chains, including in respect of palm oil. Through the Amsterdam Declarations and the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020, we are working with businesses and other governments to strengthen governance, promote market-based solutions and put in place incentives, policies and actions that support sustainable production of palm oil alongside forest protection. While we are not proposing to bring forward a ban, we recognise that more remains to be done and will continue to explore opportunities to improve the sustainability of palm oil production.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Asylum Seekers whose claims and, if appropriate, appeals have been refused are no longer eligible for asylum support and are expected to return home. We offer assistance to those who choose to do so by actively promoting the Home Office Voluntary Return Service. The Home Office continues to provide accommodation and support to those who are temporarily unable to leave the UK because of a practical or legal obstacle through the Section 4 provisions, and to families with children under the age of 18.</p><p>Information about asylum decisions, broken down by Country of Origin, is available in the published statistics here:<br><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-statistics-year-ending-june-2018/how-many-people-do-we-grant-asylum-or-protection-to#asylum-applications-and-initial-decisions" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-statistics-year-ending-june-2018/how-many-people-do-we-grant-asylum-or-protection-to#asylum-applications-and-initial-decisions</a></p><p>No Recourse to Public Funds is the default condition for grants of leave to remain in most categories, and is a separate issue to that of asylum seekers who are no longer eligible for support. Leave to remain in the UK is normally granted with a condition that prevents the person and their dependants from receiving welfare assistance from public funds. However, where the person qualifies for leave to remain on grounds related to their family or private life the condition is lifted if they or they or their dependent children would otherwise be destitute.</p>
