The importance of religious tolerance and diversity was a major subject of discussion during the visit of Iraqi President, Barham Salih, to the UK in June, and in my meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim on 25 June. They last visited Mr Johal on 27 June. The British Government cannot interfere in the judicial processes of other countries any more than we would accept interference in our own judicial system. However, we can consider approaching the authorities if there are concerns that a trial does not follow internationally recognised standards for a fair trial or is unreasonably delayed compared to local cases. The combination of rent and mortgage will often be lower than the cost of outright purchase and in many areas lower than the cost of private renting.</p><p>We have made changes to Guidance for grant funded Shared Ownership, including raising the income cap on Shared Ownership in England from £60,000 to £80,000 and up to £90,000 in London - allowing 175,000 more households to have access Shared Ownership.</p><p>Between 2015 and 2018 - 6,041 shared ownership homes were completed in London.</p><p>The Mayor has overall responsibility for housing policy and delivery in London, but we are all agreed that London needs to build many more homes to meet its need. On 12 September the Foreign Secretary welcomed the appointment of Rehman Chishti MP as the Prime Minister’s new Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief who will build on the work of the former Envoy Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/02/2020 answer text <p>We are currently investing nearly £1.5bn‎ between April 2015 and March 2021, with grants available for plug in vehicles, as well schemes to support charge point infrastructure at homes and workplaces and on residential streets. Government and industry have supported the installation of over 17,000 devices providing over 24,000 publicly available chargepoints. This includes over 2,400 rapid chargepoints – one of the largest networks in Europe. Our grant schemes and our £400m public-private Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund will see thousands more electric vehicle chargepoints installed across the UK. The first £70 million of the Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund will create 3,000 new rapid chargepoints, more than doubling the number of rapid chargepoints across the UK by 2024. Along with the private sector, the Government will invest £1 billion in charging infrastructure – making sure that everyone is within 30 miles of a rapid charging station. Purchasers of electric vehicles also benefit from lower Vehicle Excise Duty and company car tax rates from April. That is why Public Service Broadcasters are legally obliged to produce a proportion of their content outside of London, as well as make regional programming. This supports the many creative hubs around the UK and widens access to the UK's world class creative industries</p><p> </p><p>We have worked with Channel 4 to secure a commitment to move a minimum 300 staff outside of London, and to increase out of London commissioning spend from 35% to 50%. In 2016, we ran a pilot to explore whether a product by GovCoin (now DISC) could help some Universal Credit customers budget. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2019 answer text <p>Walsall has provided an excellent example of land remediation, involving many partners in enterprise, so that a large derelict and contaminated site can be brought back into employment use. Our revised National Planning Policy Framework expects local authorities to give substantial weight to the value of re-using suitable brownfield land, and to prioritise its redevelopment wherever possible. The Government has a toolkit of support for this work, including loan funding for site preparation, infrastructure and land assembly; tax relief for land remediation; and Permission in Principle to speed housing-led development at sites on local Registers of brownfield land. Where appropriate, local authorities should seek the interest and support of development partners such as Homes England.</p><p>Each brownfield site is different and often requires a tailored solution.
