	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/02/2018 answer text <p>Close to 80% of both commercial and humanitarian imports have habitually entered Yemen through Hodeidah and Saleef ports. During her visit to Riyadh, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of full and unhindered commercial and humanitarian access to these ports.</p><p>Currently we judge that imports to Hodeidah and Saleef are insufficient, with just 70% of monthly food and 76% of monthly fuel levels entering through these ports compared to the period before November 2017. We recognise the Saudi-led coalition is working to increase access through other ports including Aden in the South of Yemen. This is one reason why the recent increase in hostilities in Aden is a concern. The UK is working with the UN to increase the number of inspections of commercial vessels to encourage greater access into Hodeidah and Saleef. More than 800 tonnes of aid was delivered to provide immediate relief in the region, and equipment and personnel were deployed to assist with repairs. The UK – alongside partners – remains committed to the UN process to develop both a Global Compact for Migration and a Global Compact for Refugees. The decision by the United States to withdraw from the former does not alter the UK Government’s commitment to engage fully and work towards the successful delivery of these compacts. We believe that the Global Compact on Migration should offer an effective international framework to ensure that migration is safe and orderly and that it should balance the rights and responsibilities of both states and migrants. DFID stands ready to assist when there is a significant humanitarian impact and a request for assistance from an affected government. Both DFID and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) are monitoring the Mayon volcano’s developments closely in conjunction with the Philippine authorities. The government of the Philippines has not requested humanitarian assistance to date. There is also regular and close coordination at official level. The UK coordinates its emergency relief efforts through the UN, which allocates resources according to needs.
