	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/01/2024 answer text <p>Whilst Newcastle is not currently under consideration as a base for the Government Legal Department (GLD), the GLD's position might change in the future if demand for GLD services increases in the region.</p><p>GLD sites have been selected based on a model of developing a national organisation located in the proximity of its clients and using established legal markets which have strong pipelines for recruiting from diverse pools.</p><p>Decisions on sites are evidence-based, for example, on research and analysis of local academic and labour markets, whilst also reflecting various Government estate and property initiatives such as Places for Growth.</p><p>The Pilgrim Quarter Development will be the Government Hub for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in the North East, housing 9,000 HMRC employees when complete. Details of exemptions can be found on gov.uk (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-travellers-exempt-from-uk-border-rules/coronavirus-covid-19-travellers-exempt-from-uk-border-rules). Those under 18 and those that lack capacity are not required to have a travel declaration form. If travelling with a responsible adult, however, that responsible adult must complete a form on their behalf.</p><p> </p><p>Under the current stay at home restrictions, people may only leave home or the place where they are living if they have a reasonable excuse. Moving house is a reasonable excuse for these purposes, so travelling abroad in order to move home is permitted and may be stated on the travel declaration form. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/04/2022 answer text <p>Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is a vital tool in decarbonising aviation and helping the UK reach our net zero goals by 2050.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2014, the department has awarded grant funding to SAF plants through a series of advanced fuels competitions, namely the Advanced Biofuel Demonstration Competition (ABDC), the Future Fuels for Flight and Freight Competition (F4C) and more recently the Green Fuels, Green Skies (GFGS) competition through which eight companies are receiving a portion of £15m.</p><p> </p><p>The Net Zero Strategy, published on 19 October, announced that a further £180m will be made available to support SAF production in the UK, building on the progress made through previous advanced fuels competitions. This includes £168m for a multi-year grant funding competition to produce advanced fuels suitable for aviation and heavy goods vehicles. A further £12m is allocated for the continuation of our SAF clearing house project to accelerate new SAF to the market. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/04/2022 answer text <p>The Jet Zero Council is jointly chaired by the Transport and Business Secretaries, who are supported by Heathrow Airport’s Emma Gilthorpe as the Jet Zero Council CEO. The Council brings together government with senior leaders in aviation, aerospace, and academia to drive the delivery of new technologies and innovative ways to cut aviation emissions.</p><p> </p><p>When the Council was established in July 2020, we sought to ensure that all relevant parts of the industry were represented, from airlines, airports, and aerospace manufacturers, to NGOs, academics, and start-ups. The Council membership has diverse geographical representation reflective of the aviation and aerospace industry, with members who have regional, national and international reach.</p><p> </p><p>The Jet Zero Council and its two Delivery Groups have a diverse membership from a range of backgrounds. Nearly 40 members are in the full Jet Zero Council and 195 members from 83 organisations are in the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Delivery Group, chaired by Jonathon Counsell of IAG.
