The country information is taken from a range of reliable sources, including reputable media outlets; local, national and international organisations, including human rights organisations; and information from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Consideration of an individual’s personal circumstances, including their ability to relocate, would be considered as part of an assessment.</p><p>Our conclusions are that, in general religious minorities, including Yazidis, are not at risk of persecution or serious harm from the state authorities in Iraq. However, a person from a religious minority is likely to be a risk of persecution from Daesh in the ‘contested’ areas (Anbar, Diyala, Kirkuk, Ninewah and Salah al-Din), and from armed groups, including the Shia militia, in Baghdad. <br> <br>A person from a religious minority may not be able to obtain protection from the state in areas outside the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI). This includes grant funding to individual projects, a recently funded future electrical machines manufacturing hub at the University of Sheffield and a Centre for Doctoral Training in power electronics for sustainable propulsion at Newcastle University. This has been raised by the Prime Minister in a call with President Trump and by my Rt Hon. Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade with US Trade Representative Lighthizer. I have also personally had a call with US Ambassador Johnson on this issue. We regularly raise these issues at the United Nations and in bilateral contacts with the Government of Vietnam. At the UN Universal Periodic Review session in November 2018, the UK made recommendations regarding accountability for human rights violations, and addressing impunity for violence against human rights defenders.</p><p>The UK Government continues to engage regularly with Mexican authorities at ministerial, official, and state levels to discuss human rights, including Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB), and to support a broad human rights agenda in Mexico. Most recently, I discussed human rights with the Mexican Deputy Foreign Minister when he visited London on 9 March. During the Foreign Secretary's visit to Mexico in August 2019, he raised human rights with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, who expressed his support for working with the UK both bilaterally and multilaterally to protect human rights. Bahrain has stated publicly that any prisoner wishing to see a doctor is taken to the prison clinic, with referral to specialist facilities where required. We have also been given categorical assurances privately. As part of the COVID-19 precautions, all medical consultations take place via a video call, ensuring the safety of the patient and the medical staff. We welcome these assurances from the Government of Bahrain and urge continued transparency.</p><p>We encourage those with concerns about treatment in detention to raise them with the appropriate Bahraini human rights oversight body.
