star this property answer text <p>My Rt Hon Friend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced on 30th September a new £500 million Youth Investment Fund, which will be delivered by DCMS. This investment will help build around 60 new youth centres across the country, refurbish around 360 existing youth facilities, and provide over 100 mobile facilities for harder to reach areas.</p><p> </p><p>The fund will also support the provision and coordination of high-quality services for young people, and an investment in the youth workforce.</p> more like this

Food and drink wholesalers are eligible for a number of these support schemes, with the most relevant likely to include:</p><p> </p><ul><li>The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme to help keep millions of people in employment;</li><li>£10,000 cash grants for all business properties in receipt of Small Business Rates Relief and Rural Rates Relief;</li><li>The Bounce Back Loan Scheme for small businesses to borrow between £2,000 and £50,000, with no interest payments or fees for the first 12 months.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Food and drink wholesalers have also benefited from the recent Eat Out to Help Out Scheme which provided over 100 million half price meals during August and helped to protect the livelihoods of the 1.8 million people working in the hospitality sector.</p><p> </p> more like this

This is a pilot scheme which we are running to assess the benefits and impacts of such an approach more broadly. star this property answer text <p>Diversity and equality in higher education is a priority for this government. Higher education institutions are independent bodies and responsible for decisions about who they employ. Like every employer they must ensure they meet their obligations under the Equality Act 2010.</p><p>Important progress has been made on the number of women in leadership roles in higher education, particularly in the increase in the proportion of female Chairs of Governing Bodies and female Vice-Chancellors. Sector-led gender initiatives, such as the Athena SWAN Charter and the Aurora development scheme, demonstrate the importance the sector attaches to tackling the barriers that hinder women’s progression in higher education careers.</p><p>On 1 February, the government announced measures to tackle ethnic disparities in higher education including encouraging higher education providers to make use of tools such as the Race at Work Charter and the Race Equality Charter to drive forward a step-change in the recruitment and progression of ethnic minority employees.</p><p>The government has also consulted on ethnicity pay reporting in order to inform future government policy.</p>

star this property answer text <p>The response to the tobacco levy consolation included the HMRC costing note and the DEFRA review of HMRC’s methodology, alongside consultation responses and the government’s summary. Since the government does not generally publish analysis of polices that do not go ahead, the publishing of these documents goes significantly beyond usual practice. HMRC also publish a methodological paper on tobacco entitled Econometric Analysis of Cigarette Consumption in the UK. This can be found on gov.uk.</p> more like this
