<p>It is important that small businesses have access to the appropriate forum to address their concerns with the financial services that they have received. The Government therefore welcomes the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) consultation on the remit of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The FCA are operationally independent of the Government. The remit of the FOS is therefore a matter for the FCA.</p>
