star this property answer text <p>The Department measures the proportion of households in owner occupation in the English Housing Survey.</p><p>The proportion of owner occupiers in each year since 2015 can be found in Annex Table 1.1 of the English Housing Survey Headline Report 1018-19. star this property answer text <p>Local authorities have been given a wide range of robust enforcement powers to ensure landlords and letting agents meet their contractual obligations, including civil penalties and banning orders for the worst offenders.</p><p>Landlords and letting agents are prohibited from charging certain fees in connection with a tenancy under the Tenant Fees Act 2019. We have established a new lead enforcement authority for lettings to assist local authorities across England in their enforcement of this and other letting agent legislation.</p><p> </p> more like this
