star this property answer text <p>The UK signed the CARIFORUM-UK Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) on Friday 22 March 2019 with nine CARIFORUM states. The remaining <del class="ministerial">5</del><ins class="ministerial">4</ins> states will sign as their domestic processes allow. This will provide continuity in our trading arrangements after the UK leaves the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is currently designing a package of funding to help businesses in the Caribbean to take full advantage of the market access granted by the EPA, recognising that even in the absence of tariffs, a number of barriers remain which may prevent firms from being able to export to the UK.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade is working closely with Defra to deliver the £1m seafood exports package launched in May 2022. The 3-year package aims to grow overseas markets and provide new export opportunities for the UK fishing industry.</p><p> </p><p>The package will identify new overseas buyers for UK seafood companies, promote UK seafood at international events and increase expertise on British seafood in our Embassies overseas.</p><p> </p><p>In April we delivered a UK pavilion showcasing the best of British seafood at Seafood Expo Global and we are bringing a number of inward missions of buyers to the UK later this year.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Whilst my Department does not hold a central list of all historic missions from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) as well as DIT, on reviewing available data, we estimate that over the last five years DIT and its predecessor UKTI have delivered in excess of 500 formal overseas trade missions to more than 80 countries. The figure may well be higher, as my Department operates in 108 countries globally, and not all facilitated visits are formally recorded as trade missions.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The UK is committed to seeking to ensure trade continuity with Mexico after the Transition Period ends on 31 December 2020. We continue to discuss with Mexico how to transition the EU-Mexico Global Agreement so that it functions in a bilateral context from 1 January 2021. In August 2019 my Rt Hon Friend the Foreign Secretary (Dominic Raab) visited Mexico to sign the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/foreign-secretary-to-sign-landmark-agreement-to-boost-economic-growth-in-uk-and-mexico" target="_blank">UK-Mexico Partnership for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth</a>.
