We are working towards securing the best possible deal for the whole UK, and to achieve this we will need to work closely with colleagues in the devolved administrations at official and ministerial level. We want to ensure the best possible outcome for Britain and the future UK-EU relationship. The Government will also bring forward legislation in the next session that, when enacted, will repeal the European Communities Act 1972 on the day we leave the EU. This ‘Great Repeal Bill’ will end the authority of EU law and return power to the UK.
