star this property answer text <p>DCMS will not produce a public assessment of the potential effects of exiting the EU for specific sectors, including how the tourism industry between the UK and the Republic of Ireland might be affected. However, the department is engaging with the tourism sector and devolved administrations to ensure that views about the challenges and opportunities of the UK’s exit from the EU are considered in policy development.</p><p> </p><p>We will pursue a deep and special partnership with the EU, ensuring the continued growth of our thriving tourism sector. The UK Government, Irish Government, and European Union all agree on maintaining the Common Travel Area. Our view is that an agreement on protecting and upholding the CTA and associated bilateral arrangements should be concluded at an early stage.</p><p> </p> more like this
