star this property answer text <p>Bristow Group Inc is an indirect shareholder of our search and rescue helicopter provider, Bristow Helicopters Limited. Bristow Group issued cautionary guidance to investors on 11 February about a material weakness observed in the internal controls over its financial reporting going back to 31 March 2018.</p><p> </p><p>Bristow Group intends to release further information on its financial position at the end of 2018 to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (US SEC), no later than 19 February 2019. An assessment of Bristow Group’s financial position will be made following the release of its quarterly results to the US SEC.</p><p> </p><p>These current difficulties are contained within Bristow Group and do not affect the Department for Transport’s contract with Bristow Helicopters Limited.</p><p> </p> more like this

The regulations require all tenderers be treated equally on a non-discriminatory basis. This means that HS2 cannot mandate that the design and manufacture of the new fleet should be undertaken in the UK.</p><p> </p><p>This also means that HS2 cannot reward, in its procurement scoring mechanism, UK or regional content over non-UK content. However, the Utilities Contract Regulations do include a scoring mechanism that assesses each Tenderer’s plans for developing skills, education and employment opportunities and promoting supply chain opportunities through the supply and maintenance of the new trains.</p><p> </p><p>All parties invited to tender are required to make clear in their proposal how the manufacture and maintenance of the rolling stock will add value to the UK economy and contribute to the delivery of the HS2 programme strategic goals. All such commitments made will be included in the contract with the winning bidder.</p><p> </p><p>HS2 cannot mandate that the design and manufacture of the new fleet should be undertaken in the UK. However, the procurement has the potential to realise many benefits for the UK, for example a ‘supply chain mapping’ exercise conducted by HS2 identified over 270 potential tier 2 and 3 rolling stock suppliers, over 70% of which are UK-based.</p><p> </p><p>The procurement you refer to for the supply of new Piccadilly line trains from Siemens Mobility Limited was conducted by London Underground Limited (a subsidiary of Transport for London).</p><p> </p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p>No commercial helicopters were involved in the evacuation of workers from the Thistle oil platform to Dunlin Alpha platform on 21 October 2019. The HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter based at Sumburgh and two Norwegian rescue helicopters were tasked to evacuate all workers.</p><p> </p><p>Each helicopter undertook the evacuation with one duty crew. The HM Coastguard aircraft operates with a crew of four, the Norwegian aircraft operate with a crew of five.</p><p> </p><p>The total number of flights involved in the evacuation was seven, four undertaken by one Norwegian helicopter and three by HM Coastguard. The second Norwegian helicopter required fuel before assisting and was then stood down as the evacuation was complete.</p> more like this
