	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/11/2015 answer text <p>While no formal assessment of the impact of LPG has been made by the Department, Defra officials met with representatives of the LPG industry during the consultation period for the draft UK Air Quality Plans.</p><br /><p>Industry data shows that retrofitting older diesel cars and vans to run on LPG can reduce emissions of NOx (oxides of nitrogen) and particulate matter whilst producing CO<sub>2</sub> (carbon dioxide) emissions between those of equivalent diesel and petrol engines. This solution was used by some drivers to enable them to enter the London Low Emission Zone without charge. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2015 answer text <p>As it is not for the Government to intervene in the lending decisions of mortgage lenders or the type or degree of risks they are prepared to take, there have been no recent discussions between the Department and the property and mortgage industries.</p><br /><p>There have been no discussions with local authorities on the effect of Japanese knotweed on property values. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2015 answer text <p>In December 2013, Defra and DFID announced that £10m of funding would be made available over the period 2014/15 - 2017/18 to help developing countries tackle the illegal wildlife trade, to be administered by Defra. In March 2015, the Secretary of State for International Development announced that an additional £3m would be made available for this purpose.</p><br /><p>Most of this funding, which is Official Development Assistance, is distributed through the Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund.</p><br /><p>The first round of the UK Government’s Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund opened for applications in June 2014, and 19 successful projects were announced in December 2014. A list of these can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/382616/iwt-challenge-fund-project-funding.pdf" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/382616/iwt-challenge-fund-project-funding.pdf</a></p><br /><p>To date, £5.3 million has been allocated to projects under the Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund. Projects submit claims against their allocations on a quarterly basis, and the total spent, as at the end of October, was £2.1 million.</p><br /><p>I announced the opening of a second round of applications in August. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2015 answer text <p>Defra does not hold information on prosecutions brought under the Control of Trade in Endangered Species Regulations 1997 (COTES) which specify offences and penalties in the UK in respect of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).</p><br /><p>The Ministry of Justice has provided information on the number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates’ courts for offences under COTES, in England and Wales, from 2006 to 2014, in the table below.</p><br /><p>Some of these offences are recorded under a miscellaneous offence grouping, which it is only possible to analyse separately from centrally-held data from 2006 to 2008 and then 2011 onwards.
