<p>It is not possible to provide data on the number of students from Scottish higher
educational institutions who were granted a Tier 1 Post-Study Work visa for every
year since 2009 because our records for Tier 1 Post-Study Work applications do not
record the previous sponsoring institution in a format which can be used as the basis
for a search.</p><p>It is however possible to provide data on the number of applicants
who were granted a Tier 1 Post-Study Work visa while they were resident in Scotland.
This data can be found below.</p><p>Year Total amount of grants issued to migrants

10270</p><p>It cannot be confirmed that these migrants had previously studied at Scottish
higher educational institutions, for the reasons previously stated. The Tier 1 Post-Study
work route was closed to new applications on 6 April 2012.</p>
