As part of the UK's international support for the clean energy transition, the Government provide technical or regulatory assistance that supports energy or emissions efficiency, health, safety, social and environmental standards.</p><p> </p><p>Where activities take place overseas however, it is for the relevant national authorities to determine what regulation should apply. Following a grant of probate, a further exemption of up to six months is possible, after which normal rules apply. The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 gives legal protection to those who speak up in the public interest.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has made numerous improvements to the whistleblowing framework. This includes extending protections to student nurses and midwives, regularly updating the list of prescribed persons, and introducing a legislative requirement for most prescribed persons to produce an annual report on whistleblowing disclosures they receive.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has committed to review the whistleblowing framework. This is closely linked with the UK's ambition to end the preventable deaths of mothers, newborns and children. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (the Global Fund) is the UK's main financing mechanism for combatting malaria. We have been the third largest donor over its lifetime, contributing over £4.4 billion. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/03/2022 answer text <p>The cost control mechanism is designed to ensure a fair balance of risk between public service pension scheme members and taxpayers with respect to the costs of those schemes.</p><p> </p><p>Following a review of the mechanism by the Government Actuary, and a full and open public consultation process, the Government confirmed that it will implement three reforms to the mechanism. These reforms will be implemented from the 2020 valuations onwards.</p><p> </p><p>The Government does not believe these reforms breach the 25-year guarantee. The elements protected by the 25-year guarantee are set out in legislation, (namely, section 22 of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013), and the cost control mechanism is not included. The reforms will make the mechanism more stable and allow it to operate more in line with its objectives. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/06/2021 answer text <p>The Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO) travel advice has a box at the top of all pages setting out the government message that to prevent new COVID-19 variants from entering the UK, travellers should not travel to Amber or Red list countries. Every page also states the Traffic Light status for that country (Red, Amber or Green).</p><p>The FCDO currently advises against all but essential travel to many countries and territories on the basis of COVID risks.
