answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/11/2023 answer text <p>DWP announced the decommissioning of the Torquay Temporary Jobcentre on 17 May 2023. Customers and staff exited the site by June. The Department is in the process of preparing the site ready to hand back to the landlord.</p><p>We sincerely apologise that this work has taken so long. Since this issue was brought to our attention, we have escalated this to ensure the contractor completes the work as a matter of urgency.</p><p>The Department has provided the honourable member with a letter from DWP Estates with further information and a full explanation of the delay, which resulted from a combination of supplier failure and the transition to decommissioning this site.</p><p>We can confirm that replacement glazing units have been ordered and the Department will ensure installation is completed as quickly as possible.</p> answering member constituency Mid Sussex answering member printed Mims Davies question first answered 13/11/2023 17:25:11 answering member 4513 label Biography information for Mims Davies

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/05/2022 answer text <p>287 - <em>Those accommodated at Linton-on-Ouse will be admissible and have an outstanding asylum claim. Both the design of the Linton-on-Ouse operating model and the proposed site configuration will enable substantive asylum interviews to be undertaken remotely, via video conference.</em></p><p><em>285 - </em><em>Asylum Seekers will have their asylum claim considered at Linton-on-Ouse and will reside there until their interview has been completed and case progressed to a decision ready stage. At this point they will be dispersed for their decision to be made and served at Dispersed Accommodation.</em></p><p><em>290 - </em><em>Those accommodated at Linton-on-Ouse will have the ability to access the support of legal representation, either face-to-face or remotely. The Home Office continues to liaise with colleagues in the Ministry of Justice and Legal Aid Agency to finalise the details of this provision at Linton-on-Ouse.</em></p><p><em>286 - </em><em>Initially, those accommodated at Linton-on-Ouse will be single, adult, males with limited vulnerabilities. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of those allocated accommodation at Linton, an assessment will take place by the Home Office prior to allocation using suitability criteria. The Home office continue to work with Department of Health colleagues to ensure a minimal impact on local health services.</em></p><p><em>288 - </em><em>Asylum seekers will be eligible to be accommodated at Linton-on-Ouse at the early stages of their admissible asylum claim case working, after they have been screened.
