This will support 985 organisations, including the Welsh National Opera’s (WNO) activities in England. The decisions made by ACE about the allocation of funding for this Investment Programme were taken at arm’s length from the Government. This is in accordance with the well-established process, which is published on ACE’s website and made clear in the guidance for applicants. As such, central government does not review individual decisions.</p><p> </p><p>The WNO will still receive £4 million per year during the 2023-2026 Investment Programme. The UK Government recognises the vital role that European structural funds have played in Wales over the past two decades, and has committed, at a minimum, to matching current levels of funding for each nation. We are determined that Wales will not be out of pocket now that we have left the EU, and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will be instrumental in making good on this.</p><p> </p><p>In terms of the powers that the Welsh Government will have over these funds, the UK Government is fully committed to respecting devolution and the devolved institutions. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2023 answer text <p>The Office of the Secretary of State for Wales regularly engages with the Welsh Government on a wide range of transport matters.</p><p> </p><p>The Welsh Government’s continued opposition to the M4 Relief Road is holding the Welsh economy back, which is of great disappointment and only serves to project that Wales is closed for business. In rejecting the case for the M4 Relief Road, the Welsh Government are going against the findings of their own £150 million report, which recommended that the M4 Relief Road be built. Welsh ports will benefit from leaving the transition period as it ensures that we take back control of our laws, trade, borders and money on the basis of the agreement we reached in October and which enabled us to leave the EU on 31 January.</p><p> </p><p>Furthermore, on 12 June, the Government committed to building new border facilities in Great Britain for carrying out required checks, such as customs compliance, transit, and Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) checks, as well as providing targeted support to ports to build new infrastructure. Where there is no space at ports for new infrastructure, the Government will build new inland sites where these checks and other activities will take place. The Government is consulting with ports across the UK including Holyhead and Fishguard to agree what infrastructure is required.
