	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/11/2021 answer text <p>The government knows that vaccines save lives which is why, earlier this year, plans were set out to make COVID-19 vaccines a condition of deployment for adults in care homes to protect those who are more vulnerable to COVID-19.</p><p> </p><p>Vaccinated people are less likely to experience severe symptoms of COVID-19, be admitted to hospital or die from it and there is evidence that they are less likely to pass the virus on to others.</p><p> </p><p>The current exemption from the requirement to be fully vaccinated to work in a care home is expected to continue. This applies to those with specific medical conditions, pregnant women and those aged under 18 as set out in operational guidance: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vaccination-of-people-working-or-deployed-in-care-homes-operational-guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-of-people-working-or-deployed-in-care-homes-operational-guidance" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vaccination-of-people-working-or-deployed-in-care-homes-operational-guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-of-people-working-or-deployed-in-care-homes-operational-guidance</a>.</p><p> </p><p>16 -17-year-olds who work in the health and social care sector, including students undertaking work placements, have been eligible for 2 vaccinations since the beginning of phase 1 of the vaccination programme roll out. This includes supporting key sectors including automotive and boosting green skills in regions such as South Yorkshire. Building on the Skills for Jobs White Paper and the recent publication of the net zero strategy, the department’s skills reforms will strengthen links between employers and providers, support workers in high carbon sectors with the transition, and help to build a pipeline of future talent. We have a range of existing programmes which support green skills for young people and adults in key sectors such as automotive. These include:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Skills Bootcamps across England, including in electric vehicle maintenance. Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.</li><li>The Emerging Skills Project in Electrification, which aims to encourage the adoption of cutting-edge skills in electrification technologies, such as battery-powered motors and drives, electric vehicle systems and software, battery maintenance, and recycling. The project is funding the development of short courses, teacher training support and free to access ‘up-skilling’ days in the latest electrification technologies.</li><li>South Yorkshire’s local skills improvement plan Trailblazer and development fund pilot, which aim to make the local skills system more responsive to employers’ key skills needs.</li></ul><p> </p><p>The Green Apprenticeship Advisory Panel (GAAP) has also endorsed the following apprenticeship standards that are available and relevant to electric vehicle service and repair:</p><ul><li>Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (light vehicle), L3, ST0033.</li><li>Autocare Technician, L2, ST0499</li></ul><p> </p><p>Working with employers, the GAAP will continue to review existing apprenticeships standards to ensure they can further accommodate skills needs linked to key green sectors including automotive.</p><p> </p><p>To support young people and adults to progress towards a green career, the department will ensure a strengthened system of employer-led standards are in place, underpinning apprenticeships, T-Levels, and new higher technical qualifications. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/12/2023 answer text <p>The Government works constantly to strengthen the security and resilience of UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).</p><p> </p><p>The Cabinet Office works closely with Lead Government Departments to understand, manage and mitigate the impacts of cyber risk to their corresponding CNI sectors. Each CNI sector's security and resilience is overseen by a Lead Government Department, and it is that Department's Minister that will hold overall accountability for that CNI sector. The UK Government also works closely with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the UK's national technical authority. NCSC are working with CNI operators to help them find the cyber exercising and incident management services they need from the marketplace by expanding the NCSC’s accredited scheme for Cyber Incident Response and introducing a new scheme for exercising.</p><p> </p><p>At Cyber UK 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister announced that we have set specific and ambitious cyber resilience targets for all critical national infrastructure sectors to meet by 2025. This is alongside examining plans to bring more private sector businesses working in critical national infrastructure within the scope of cyber resilience regulations. This work will further our ambition to understand and manage cyber risk.</p><p> </p><p>Through the National Cyber Strategy, the Government is working to improve resilience to cyber risks across the UK economy and drive organisations to take action themselves as part of a whole of society approach. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/12/2023 answer text <p>The Government takes the security of its supply chain extremely seriously and has taken action to bolster the powers to intervene where a risk to national security has been identified.</p><p>The Procurement Act 2023 received Royal Assent on 26 October 2023 and will strengthen the security framework around public procurement. It includes new powers to ban suppliers from specific sectors, such as areas related to defence and national security, while allowing them to continue to win procurements in non-sensitive areas. We also attend the Family Mediation Council Standards Board which helps set the standards for mediators to ensure individuals get a quality service.
