	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/07/2019 answer text <p>The Department for International Trade is working to strengthen the UK’s automotive and aerospace sectors as we leave the EU. 2018 automotive exports were over £44bn and aerospace over £34bn, showing that international demand remains strong. We regularly showcase our world leading aerospace and automotive technologies, e.g. at the Paris Air Show in June 2019, and Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019.</p><p> </p><p>We are building on the strategy outlined in the automotive and aerospace sector deals announced last year. It has been on a tender-by-tender basis. Tenders can be accessed via: <a href="http://www.tokyo2020.org/en/organising-committee/procurement/" target="_blank">www.tokyo2020.org/en/organising-committee/procurement/</a></p><p> </p><p>Procurement is still at a very early stage with regards to Paris 2024. Procurement opportunities, outside of infrastructure, will accelerate after Tokyo 2020. HMG has encouraged both Organising Committees to utilise international best practice. Tokyo 2020 has a procurement portal listing upcoming contracts, which is fully accessible to UK companies.</p><p> </p><p>All tenders for the Paris 2024 Games will be published on the “Bulletin Officiel”, the official platform for public procurement in France. This platform is open to companies globally, and UK companies can freely bid for tenders. Total trade in goods and services between the UK and Montenegro was £67m in 2018.</p><p> </p><p>In August 2018, the Secretary of State launched the Export Strategy, the government’s plan to increase UK total exports as a proportion of GDP to 35% and make Britain a 21st century exporting superpower. The Export Strategy will encourage and inspire more businesses to export; inform businesses by providing practical assistance on exporting; connect UK businesses to overseas buyers and opportunities; and help provide finance through UKEF to enhance the HMG offer to UK exporters. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/07/2019 answer text <p>Only the Open Individual Export Licence issued on 9 May 2016 remains extant, but it is not for crowd control equipment; it covers items such as body armour for bomb disposal and protection from bomb fragmentation.</p><p> </p><p>The Foreign Secretary announced on 25 June that we will not issue any further export licences for crowd control equipment to Hong Kong unless we are satisfied that concerns raised about human rights and fundamental freedoms have been thoroughly addressed.
