answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2024 answer text <p>Bangladesh remains a Human Rights Priority Country for the UK and we regularly raise our human rights concerns including the treatment of those in detention with the Government of Bangladesh. We are monitoring the implementation of the Digital Security Act including the case of Khadijatul Kubra. During the 5th UK-Bangladesh Strategic Dialogue in September, the FCDO raised this case with the Government of Bangladesh. Khadijatul Kubra was released on bail in December 2023. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/06/2021 answer text <p>Ministers and officials in the Department have engaged with BEAT, the eating disorder charity, as well as other groups representing the views of people living with eating disorders, on several occasions since the Government published “Tackling obesity: empowering adults and children to live healthier lives” last July. Discussions have included out-of-home calorie labelling. We have also been careful to consider the views of a wide range of experts in response to our public consultation on introducing mandatory out-of-home calorie labelling and we will continue with this engagement going forward.</p><p> </p><p>The final impact assessment for introducing mandatory calorie labelling in the out-of-home sector considered the potential effect on people living with eating disorders. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/11/2019 answer text <p>We recognise that it is important that the fundamental rights of people continue to be respected throughout their lives and that the specific needs of older people are recognised and respected.</p><p> </p><p>We have previously considered the merits of introducing an older person’s commissioner. However, we believe that the duties that would be covered by such a role are covered by work elsewhere in the system.</p><p> </p><p>Establishing an older person’s commissioners would also have significant costs associated with it. Net expenditure in the first year that Northern Ireland’s Older People’s Commissioner was set up was around £101,674 in 2011-12 and has since increased to £876,272 in 2017-18. Recent estimates indicate that there are around 33% more over 65s in England than in Northern Ireland, suggesting such a body would create significant annual costs.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is committed to making this country one of the best places to grow old in.</p><p>Across the health and social care system in England there are already systems in place, that are able to listen to the voices of older people and respond to their concerns.</p><p> </p> answering member constituency Gosport answering member printed Caroline Dinenage question first answered 05/11/2019 14:26:57 answering member 4008 label Biography information for Dame Caroline Dinenage
