	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/03/2020 answer text <p>The National Health Service will be given all the resources it needs to respond to this virus and keep the public safe.</p><p>The NHS is scaling up intensive care beds, whilst NHS England is looking at NHS organisations’ critical care capacity - including the availability of additional facilities operated by independent sector providers. They are also making sure that they have as much ventilation equipment as possible and, crucially, the skilled and trained people to use it.</p><p>The Health and Wellbeing Framework sets out the standards for what NHS organisations need to do to support staff to feel well, healthy and happy at work. It sets out clear actionable steps and provides guidance for organisations to develop and deliver a staff health and wellbeing plan. Authorities are allowed to procure goods, services and works with extreme urgency in exceptional circumstances using regulation 32(2)(c) under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. We have made it clear that authorities must continue to achieve value for money for taxpayers and use good commercial judgement in the awarding of contracts.</p><p>As of the beginning of June, 636 contracts have been awarded by the Department to private sector companies worth approximately £6.2 billion by the Department. The value is based on Purchase Orders raised which still have to be validated. We are now confirming an additional £3 billion for the NHS next year, on top of the long-term settlement, to support the recovery from the impact of COVID-19.</p><p>Further funding to help ensure the NHS can continue to meet the ongoing costs of tackling COVID-19 will also be set out in the New Year. This will then allow planning guidance for 2021-22 to be communicated to the system and for individual organisations such as Manchester Royal Infirmary and Withington Hospital to agree financial plans. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/10/2019 answer text <p>The capital funding for England announced with the launch of the Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) is £2.8 billion, with £2.7 billion for six new hospital projects that are getting the full go ahead now, and £100 million in seed funding to a further 21 schemes (34 hospitals) to develop their plans.</p><p>This announcement will mean the devolved administrations will receive indicative Barnett consequentials over eight years of around £270 million for the Scottish Government, £165 million for the Welsh Government, and £90 million for the Northern Ireland administration. This data includes the dates when each PFI contract was signed and began operations, the length of the contract, and annual Unitary Charge payments.</p><p>Each NHS PFI contract includes building maintenance services as a minimum. Other services provided as part of the PFI contract vary depending on the requirements and circumstances of each NHS trust or foundation trust and are subject to change over time.
