We expect that patients who need an appointment within two weeks should receive one and patients with urgent needs should be seen on the same day. In August 2022, 44.6% of appointments took place on the same day as it was booked, excluding COVID-19 vaccinations. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/03/2023 answer text <p>​​The Education Act 1996 places a duty on maintained schools and academies to provide free school meals (FSM) to pupils of all ages that meet the criteria for eligibility and who are attending school during term time. The Act makes clear that a child must be registered at a publicly funded school as a condition of claiming FSM.​</p><p>​Local Authorities are funded to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those who are unable to attend school on a long term basis. Parents are advised to liaise with Local Authorities to consider suitable alternatives in line with the guidance on long term illnesses, which is available at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/illness-child-education" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/illness-child-education</a>.​</p><p>​The Department is always considering how it can best support children with SEND and their parents. The Government is committing to more frequent revaluations, which represents significant reform of the system and will ensure that liabilities are more responsive to changing market conditions. The Child Maintenance Options (CMO) website provides advice and signposting information to a number of specialist domestic abuse support organisations, as well as advice and information on staying safe.</p><p> </p><p>Paying Parents have a regular schedule of payments to make and are still expected to pay child maintenance throughout this period.</p><p> </p><p>If arrears do accrue during this period due to missed payments, the Service will deal with the debt once the current situation stabilises, to ensure that receiving parents do not lose out in the long run. The Service will update calculations as soon as possible and collect any unpaid amounts that may have accrued.
