	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2019 answer text <p>The Department publishes national statistics on new social housing lettings in England.</p><p> </p><p>Of the new social housing lettings that were provided to tenants whose previous tenancy was also in the social sector, 4.6 per cent gave b) fear of violence (including domestic abuse, hate crime and racial harassment) as the reason for moving in England in 2017/18. Separate figures for crime are not available. However, as a responsible government, we continue to prepare for all scenarios.</p><p>The Law Enforcement and Security (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 were made in April 2019 and make the necessary legislative changes to prevent the diversion of drugs precursor chemicals to the illicit market and to allow for the legitimate trade in these substances to continue in the event of a no deal.</p><p>A Technical Notice was published on GOV.UK in September 2018 advising companies of the change in requirements in the event of a no deal and we have contacted the relevant trade bodies to disseminate the message to their members. <br>The Government continue to engage with industry trading in these substances to ensure they are aware of the new rules and processes that would apply if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.</p> answering member constituency North West Hampshire answering member printed Kit Malthouse question first answered 03/09/2019 16:30:44 answering member 4495 label Biography information for Kit Malthouse

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/03/2021 answer text <p>The Government recognises the ongoing impact that trauma caused by past domestic abuse can have, and the importance of supporting victims who commit offences as a result of their experiences. The Government remains committed to delivering its Female Offender Strategy, published in June 2018, and which makes clear that a different approach is likely to be more effective in addressing the needs of female offenders and women at risk of entering the criminal justice system. £7 million has been invested since publication of the Strategy, which is sustaining and enhancing current women’s services, filling gaps in provision, and providing properties for new women’s centres.</p><p> </p><p>Since the start of the pandemic, the Government has also committed unprecedented funding to support all victims, including £40m announced by the Ministry of Justice on 1 February for victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and a further £11m announced on 15 March to recruit additional Independent Sexual Violence and Independent Domestic Abuse Advisors over the next two years.</p><p> </p><p>This year, we will publish two new strategies that will build on our landmark Domestic Abuse Bill, on violence against women and girls and on domestic abuse, which will take further our drive for a step-change in the response to these crimes.</p> answering member constituency North West Hampshire answering member printed Kit Malthouse question first answered 23/03/2021 17:01:05 answering member 4495 label Biography information for Kit Malthouse
