We are committed to giving police the resources, tools and powers they need to tackle the scourge of crime.</p><p>The cost of training new officers will vary over time and across forces. The provision of training for police officers and the associated costs are defined locally. Regular independent quantitative and qualitative research has been undertaken with the target audience to inform campaign development and evaluation.</p><p> </p><p>During campaign development we undertook qualitative research with young people aged 10-21 years old in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and Leeds. Across the age range, fast food eateries were one of the key environments young people stated that they spend time.</p><p> </p><p>A workshop held with stakeholders in December 2017 recommended that we ensured we placed outdoor advertisements strategically (i.e. in places where the audience are likely to go and spend time). Examples of these that were given included chicken shops.</p><p> </p><p>We piloted the #knifefree fast food boxes in Spring 2019 in London and Manchester. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/09/2019 answer text <p>Criminal exploitation in the form of county lines has a devastating impact on those affected and we must work together to identify and safeguard the victims and potential victims of this form of exploitation as early as possible.</p><p>Our Serious Violence Strategy sets out our approach to tackling county lines and its related exploitation and through this we have delivered a range of action to enhance our approach to tackling this issue.</p><p>This includes providing £3.6m for a new National County Lines Co-ordination Centre. Launched in September 2018 the NCLCC has already led three separate weeks of law enforcement ‘intensification’ leading to 1600 arrests and safeguarding of over 2100 individuals. Through the Early Intervention Youth Fund we are also funding 10 projects with a specific county lines focus to support victims and potential victims of this exploitation.
