	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/12/2022 answer text <p>The Ministry of Justice has committed to ringfenced funding to increase the number of Independent Sexual and Domestic Violence Advisors (ISVAs/IDVAs) by 300 to over 1000 by 2024/25 - a 43% increase on the number of ISVAs and IDVAs over the next three years. This builds on the funding provided in 20/21 and 21/22 to recruit c700 ISVA and IDVA posts. We are distributing this ringfenced funding to Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) to recruit ISVAs and IDVAs in their local areas. Recruitment for the additional 300 posts commenced in May 2022, and we are currently working closely with PCCs to track progress of this recruitment. In addition to this funding, PCCs also have discretion to use core victim support grant funding for additional ISVAs and IDVAs, based on their assessment of local need.</p><p>The MoJ has information on ISVAs and IDVAs funded from 20/21, which is when the specific ringfenced funding was introduced.</p><p>In addition, the Department has committed to supporting ISVAs and IDVAs through measures published in the draft Victims Bill. In 2022/23, an additional £50 million has been invested in NHS 111 to support increased call taking capacity and ensure that patients can access urgent care when necessary. NHS England and NHS Improvement are working with integrated care boards to improve patient flow and reduce ambulance handover delays, maximising Same Day Emergency Care services and access to Urgent Treatment Centres as an alternative to accident and emergency where appropriate.</p><p>In Slough, funding for 17 intermediate adult social care beds has been extended to June 2022 and an additional 20 bed community ward at Heathlands Heathwood Hospital has been created. An immediate ambulance handover policy is also in place at hospitals in Slough and capacity to accept paramedic handovers increased by 30%.</p><p>In the South East, Urgent Treatment Centres and Same Day Emergency Care provision is being developed to ensure alternatives to emergency departments are available at acute sites. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2020 answer text <p>The Government is committed to ending unfair hospital car parking charges by making parking free for those in greatest need, including disabled people, with rollout having commenced in some trusts from April and in others on a rolling basis throughout the course of this year, subject to the constraints imposed by the pandemic.</p><p>These new requirements are being mandated through the NHS Standard Contract, to make car parking more consistent across England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/06/2022 answer text <p>In 2022/23, NHS England and NHS Improvement are allocating £150 million to support improvements to response times through retention and additional call handler recruitment. In September 2021, £1.7 million was provided for health and wellbeing initiatives for staff in England, including immediate welfare needs. The recruitment and retention of ambulance staff elsewhere in the United Kingdom is a devolved matter.</p><p>This funding has allowed South Central Ambulance Service to increase its recruitment of 999 call handlers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/10/2020 answer text <p>The Department commissions research through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and is the largest public funder of health research in the United Kingdom.</p><p>The NIHR funds a range of research in maternal and neonatal health focussing on the safety of maternity and neonatal services, and the national maternity ambition to halve maternal deaths, stillbirths and neonatal deaths and brain injury by 2025.</p><p>The NIHR is not currently funding any specific research into neonatal herpes but it welcomes funding applications for research into any aspect of human health, including neonatal herpes. These applications are subject to peer review and judged in open competition, with awards being made on the basis of the importance of the topic to patients and health and care services, value for money and scientific quality.
