However, as a responsible Government we have been preparing to minimise any disruption in the event of a no-deal.</p><p>I regularly meet with the Farmers’ Union of Wales, NFU Cymru and the CLA Cymru to discuss EU Exit and the impact on the agriculture sector.</p><p>We have made it clear that we will support vulnerable sectors, such as our sheep farmers, through government intervention in the event of a ‘no-deal’, should this be necessary. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/01/2020 answer text <p>Child poverty is an important issue in Wales, and one which the UK Government remains determined to tackle. We are helping parents to move into and remain in work, offering the best opportunity for families to move out of poverty and improving children’s long-term outcomes.</p><p>The Government’s focus has been on radically reforming the welfare system to promote work as the most effective route out of poverty and towards financial independence.</p><p>Compared with 2010, there are <del class="ministerial">14,200</del> <ins class="ministerial">142,000</ins> more people in employment in Wales, the number of people unemployed is at a record low of 55,000. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2019 answer text <p>Clause 21 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill would allow the UK Government to meet fully the obligations set out in the Northern Ireland Protocol. The “Henry VIII” power in the clause could be used where necessary to amend primary legislation to ensure arrangements required in the Northern Ireland Protocol are operational and to implement the requirements set out in the Protocol.</p><p> </p><p>In response to concerns raised by the Devolved Administrations, clause 18 of the Bill (<em>Main power in connection with other separation issues</em>) has been restricted so that powers under this clause cannot be used to amend the devolution acts, including the Government of Wales Act 2006.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is working to establish whether restricting the powers in clause 21 in a similar way would mean the obligations in the Protocol could still be met.
