<p>In the past 10 years, there have been no cases where a temporary or permanent House of Commons security pass has been refused on the grounds that the applicant had been found to be in contempt of Parliament.</p><p>Parliament decides on matters of contempt, including sanctions, on a case-by-case basis, on the advice of the Committee of Privileges.</p>
