In a deal scenario, flights will continue as now during the time-limited Implementation Period. For reasons of child safety and congestion management, parking restrictions near schools, on red routes, in bus lanes, and at bus stand clearways are exempt from this ban. We do not comment on the aviation security measures that other countries have in place, nor do we assess other impacts on the current restrictions on flights.</p><p> </p><p>The UK continues to work closely with the Egyptian authorities, sharing aviation security expertise, and we look forward to achieving the return of flights when the situation allows.</p><p> </p><p>The terrorist threat level to the UK is kept under constant review by the independent Joint Terrorist Analysis Centre, whose judgements about the threat level are made on the basis of the very latest intelligence. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/03/2019 answer text <p>Under the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) biofuels reported as being made from waste have risen from 12 per cent of total biofuel supply in the first year of the obligation 2008/09, to 66 per cent in 2017/18. In 2017/18 the most widely reported source for biodiesel, by feedstock and country of origin, remained used cooking oil from the UK. (Biofuels Statistics obligation year 10 2017/18 - Report 6).</p><p> </p><p>Last year the Government introduced changes to the RTFO which will almost double the use of renewable fuels from 2018 to 2020. The existing legislation is both important and appropriate in ensuring the safety of drivers and others on the road. However, any further restrictions could risk imposing unreasonable burdens on industry, particularly as fatal accidents involving bus or coaches have been falling over time, from 120 in 2007 to 55 in 2017. Reflecting this, and in the light of outstanding safety issues, consent for the electricity link project was suspended for safety reasons in October 2017, preventing construction work from continuing to the next stage.</p><p> </p><p>Government is represented by UK officials on both the Channel Tunnel Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) and the Channel Tunnel Safety Authority (CTSA). Both of these groups have been involved with the ElecLink project since it was first presented to the CTSA by Eurotunnel in 2011.</p><p> </p><p>A working group, comprised of members from the UK and French delegations to the CTSA, Eurotunnel and the cable project team, was established and meets frequently to ensure that safety issues associated with the cable installation and its interaction with the Eurotunnel railway operations are addressed. That group has both formally and informally assessed submissions from Eurotunnel, as well as completing site inspections, observing at safety tests and attending and convening specialist working groups.</p><p> </p><p>The CTSA working group is currently in the process of assessing Eurotunnel’s latest safety submission, which requests consent for the project to proceed to the next stage of construction.
