	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/03/2019 answer text <p>The England Coast Path (ECP) will be a 2,700 mile walking route around the coast of England. Natural England have been allocated £25.6m between 2015 and 2020 to deliver the England Coast Path.</p><p> </p><p>A summary of progress on each of the 16 open or approved stretches is included in Table A and B. The 50 unopened stretches are summarised in Table C. Estimated cost of establishment works and opening dates are provided where known.</p><p> </p><p>The ECP proposals are within scope of a European Court opinion, known colloquially as <em>People over Wind</em> (PoW), which was handed down in April 2018. The PoW opinion affects the way Natural England manage the impact of their proposals on sites with nature conservation designations. As such, the PoW court ruling has impacted on delivery of the path to date and will continue to have an impact moving forward.</p><p> </p><p>In light of this judgement and progress to date the 2020 delivery date is being reviewed. Natural England continue to work towards opening as much of the path as possible by 2020.</p><p> </p><p>To date the delivery programme has cost £18million. Establishment costs have been funded through grant in aid to Natural England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/05/2019 answer text <p>Local authorities have a wide range of enforcement powers to tackle fly-tipping and we have recently strengthened these. In 2016 we gave local authorities the power to issue fixed penalty notices for small scale fly-tipping and enhanced local authorities’ ability to search and seize the vehicles of suspected fly-tippers. In January this year, we introduced further financial penalties to crack down on fly-tipping giving local authorities the power to issue penalties of up to £400 to householders who fail to pass their waste to a licensed carrier and whose waste is then found fly-tipped. We will also support local authorities in increasing householders’ awareness of their duty of care to ensure their waste is disposed of appropriately.</p><p> </p><p>In our Resources and Waste Strategy for England, we have <del class="ministerial">included</del> <ins class="ministerial">committed to develop a</ins> fly-tipping toolkit which will cover how local authorities can set up and run an effective fly-tipping partnership and how to present robust cases to court to ensure tougher penalties. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/09/2022 answer text <p>As part of this years’ World Sickle Cell Day, NHS England launched a new sickle cell disease awareness campaign on the signs and symptoms of sickle cell disease, aimed at urgent and emergency care staff and those living with the condition and their carers.</p><p>There have been recent improvements to the haematology medical curriculum, with understanding sickle cell disease and thalassemia now described in the curriculum as core competencies. Health Education England (HEE) provides e-learning which includes content on sickle cell disease. HEE has held discussions with the Royal Colleges of Pathology and Physicians to ensure this curriculum is deliverable to all four nations, in line with General Medical Council’s (GMC) standards. The Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centres also provide network development, leadership, learning and education.</p><p>The Sickle Cell Society and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia report ‘No One’s Listening’ highlighted the lack of awareness of sickle cell disease among healthcare professionals. Officials are considering the report’s recommendations. NHS England estimates that awareness amongst accident and emergency medical and nursing staff, specifically of conditions such as sickle cell disease, is high across England and in areas where there is a higher prevalence of the condition. However, NHS England and other bodies continue with further awareness raising.</p><p>No specific assessment has been made regarding the extent of compliance to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence’s (NICE) guidance on pain relief for sickle cell patients. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) considers evidence of how registered persons have met fundamental standards through its regulatory approach. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/09/2022 answer text <p>As part of this years’ World Sickle Cell Day, NHS England launched a new sickle cell disease awareness campaign on the signs and symptoms of sickle cell disease, aimed at urgent and emergency care staff and those living with the condition and their carers.</p><p>There have been recent improvements to the haematology medical curriculum, with understanding sickle cell disease and thalassemia now described in the curriculum as core competencies. Health Education England (HEE) provides e-learning which includes content on sickle cell disease. HEE has held discussions with the Royal Colleges of Pathology and Physicians to ensure this curriculum is deliverable to all four nations, in line with General Medical Council’s (GMC) standards. The Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centres also provide network development, leadership, learning and education.</p><p>The Sickle Cell Society and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia report ‘No One’s Listening’ highlighted the lack of awareness of sickle cell disease among healthcare professionals. Officials are considering the report’s recommendations. The vast majority of care workers are employed by private sector providers which set their terms and conditions, including renumeration for travel costs, independently of Government. Local authorities work with care providers to determine fee rates, which should take account of employment costs, based on local market conditions.</p><p>We are committing £1.36 billion to the Market Sustainability and Fair Cost of Care Fund. The Fund will support local authorities to prepare markets for reform and move towards paying providers a fair cost of care.
