star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade has supported exports from the renewable energy sector across the UK since its inception, including in the UK’s strengths in offshore wind, smart energy systems, low-carbon advisory services and energy from waste.</p><p> </p><p>DIT’s remit spans across the entirety of the UK and the department does not directly fund additional trade promotion activity by the Devolved Administrations. The Department works closely with the Scottish enterprise agencies, who are funded by the Scottish Government, to support their energy export ambitions.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>I welcome Scottish Renewables commitment to supporting Scottish businesses to export their knowledge, goods, and services to markets around the world. Trade will play an important role in delivering an economy that is stronger, cleaner, more sustainable, and more resilient across the UK after this crisis.</p><p>My Department has a team dedicated to supporting renewable energy exports and works closely with the Scottish enterprise agencies, for whom energy is a key sector. To support an international low carbon recovery, the UK Government recently announced the Green Recovery Challenge Fund to disburse £12 million, over two years, to projects that will help countries accelerate their low-carbon transition.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Export Strategy, launched in August this year, sets out a new offer to business that provides the support and finance to help UK businesses export. This was created in consultation with business and business organisations to help maximise our exports across the whole of the UK.</p><p><br>Much has already been achieved, like the expansion of finance-led Supplier Fairs delivered by UK Export Finance and an enhanced digital service linking businesses with thousands of export opportunities on great.gov.uk. Preparations to implement further commitments are also well developed, with a view to these being rolled out over coming months.</p> more like this

DIT has an established renewable energy team, an international network of trade and investment advisors, and a network of UK-based regional trade advisors who support UK-based companies to find export opportunities in renewables, including any that would supply energy to the UK. In addition, DIT works to encourage investments into the low carbon economy and support international ambitions to accelerate the global transition to net-zero.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>UK and Israel have a strong and important trading relationship and we are committed to strengthening that relationship. A dedicated DIT team in Tel Aviv British Embassy promotes trade cooperation between UK and Israeli companies.</p><p> </p><p>A UK-Israel Tech Hub, working alongside DIT, creates partnerships between British companies and world class Israeli innovators across tech sectors, including agriculture.</p><p> </p><p>Following the signature of the UK- Israel trade continuity agreement, Israel and UK expressed support for a future summit to be hosted in London aimed at increasing bilateral trade, including Agri-Tech. Planned for 2020, the event is on hold due to current corona circumstances.</p> more like this
