	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/03/2018 answer text <p>The Government has ensured superfast broadband (speeds of 24 Mbps or more) is available to over 95% of UK premises and is continuing to invest to extend superfast coverage as far beyond 95% as possible. The Government is also introducing a Universal Service Obligation so that by 2020 everyone across the UK will have a clear, enforceable right to request high speed broadband (speeds of 10 Mbps or more). In the period before 2020, the Government has made a commitment to provide every home and business in the UK with access to basic broadband service (speeds of 2Mbps), which should be sufficient for online banking.
