star this property answer text We continue to engage with the Saudi-led Coalition on its Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations Plan (YCHOP). Improving humanitarian access to all of Yemen is key to alleviating the crisis. Continued access for commercial supplies including food and fuel through the ports of Hodeidah and Saleef is critical to ensuring that the Yemeni people get the supplies they so desperately need. The Coalition has publicly stated that corridor originating points will include Al Khadara, Al Tuwal, Hodeidah, Mokha, Aden and Marib. more like this

On 6 February, the EU released a local statement expressing strong concerns about demolition by the Israeli authorities of parts of the school of the Bedouin community of Abu Nuwar. Demolitions and evictions of Palestinians from their homes cause unnecessary suffering to ordinary Palestinians; call into question Israel’s commitment to a viable two-state solution; and, in all but the most exceptional cases, are contrary to International Humanitarian Law.
more like this

For example, the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Act 2016 provided the Banglasesh Government with increased powers to restrict the activities of civil society groups, and required NGOs to register with the NGO Affairs Bureau in order to receive foreign funds. As we have heard from NGOs seeking to form part of the Rohingya crisis response, these permissions can be difficult to obtain.

The UK routinely raises our concerns regarding restrictions on civil society with the Government of Bangladesh most recently during the drafting of the Foreign Donations Act.
