star this property answer text There are currently 623 businesses in the UK who hold a valid Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) authorisation. HMRC does not capture data on the role of the authorisation holder in the supply chain so cannot provide the number of AEO status traders who are freight forwarding companies. The AEO programme is currently only available to businesses involved in the international supply chain; these businesses may also be involved in EU trade. HMRC offers substantial guidance on AEO on the Gov.uk website, additional guidance and learning modules are available on the EU web pages. HMRC also offers a helpdesk via email and telephone. more like this

star this property answer text The Government’s ambition is to ensure universal access to broadband at minimum speeds of 10Mbps by 2020, so that no home or business is left behind. We are considering the best route to deliver universal broadband, whether to introduce a new regulatory broadband Universal Service Obligation, or whether to accept BT’s voluntary offer. star this property answer text The Chancellor is extremely proud of our record of helping over 600,000 disabled people into employment over the last four years. At the Treasury Committee, he made a broader point about workforce productivity. Both the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Office for Budget Responsibility have suggested that increasing overall employment may have had an effect on measures of productivity. The Chancellor was not suggesting – and does not believe – that increased participation by people with disabilities has had any negative impact on the economy. It has helped to increase economic growth and it is something we can be very proud of as a country. more like this
