This is a closed pension scheme and we do not know for certain if there are either active or deferred members of MNRPF who were previously employees of UK Research Innovation (UKRI) (or its predecessor organisations - NERC/BAS/NOC). However, it is possible, as not all of the former employees who were members of this pension scheme will have reached the scheme retirement age yet. As they are no longer employees, UKRI have no record of their current pension scheme memberships or entitlements.</ins></p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>On 20th April, my Rt. Hon. Friend Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer announced a £1.25 billion coronavirus package to protect firms driving innovation in the UK. This included £750 million of targeted support for the most R&amp;D intensive small and medium size firms which will be available through Innovate UK’s grants and loan scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has since confirmed that up to £500 million of this is for existing customers including £20<ins class="ministerial">0</ins> million of accelerated payments and up to £30<ins class="ministerial">0</ins> million for continuity grants and loans. £20 million of the remainder has been used to double the number of businesses receiving funding through the Innovate UK call for business led innovation in response to the crisis which was open to new customers. Over 800 companies have been successful in this competition. Innovate UK has also allocated up to £39 million to increase the business advisory support services available new and existing high-growth potential SMEs.</p><p> </p><p>The final part of this package was announced on the 27<sup>th</sup> June. The £191 million Sustainable Innovation Fund is open to new customers to help cutting-edge companies of all sizes recover, grow, and drive a re-building economy as well as support new green innovations, unleashing the sustainable industries of the future along the way.</p><p> </p><p>Beyond the Fast-Response competition, it is currently too early to state the number of businesses that have accessed this funding</p>

star this property answer text <p><del class="ministerial">In 2014 Government agreed up to £7.5 million funding to support Sir Ben Ainslie’s America’s Cup team and their proposal to be based on the Camber in Portsmouth. Details of this funding agreement have previously been released and are publicly available here:</del></p><p><del class="ministerial"><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-approves-75-million-for-sir-ben-ainslie-project-to-boost-portsmouth" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-approves-75-million-for-sir-ben-ainslie-project-to-boost-portsmouth</a></del></p><p><del class="ministerial">No further funding to the team is currently planned.</del></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><ins class="ministerial">In 2014, under the Coalition Government, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Department for Communities and Local Government, and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport agreed a funding package of up to £7.5 million to support Sir Ben Ainslie’s America’s Cup team and their proposal to base their permanent headquarters on the Camber in Portsmouth. This was announced by the then Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Rt hon Member for Twickenham (Sir Vince Cable).</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">This funding ensured the racing team’s commitment to basing their operations in Portsmouth for a minimum of 12 years to support three America’s Cup cycles, which in turn enabled economic benefits for the city’s marine and maritime sector. It also helped support community engagement and sailing participation projects in collaboration with Sport England.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The benefits arising from this investment extended beyond the sailing team. star this property answer text <p>Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) are used to protect both HS2 Ltd’s information and the information of the other signatory party and are in accordance with typical business practice. These agreements help to avoid placing homes and businesses in unnecessary blight, protect commercially sensitive information of both parties and the personal information of those potentially affected by any proposed changes to the scheme. HS2 Ltd’s Register shows <del class="ministerial">342</del> <ins class="ministerial">339 </ins>such agreements have been put in place. As this number changes on a frequent basis as the project develops and new agreements are added to the Register we do not intend to publish a list of the parties at the present time.</p> more like this

This can be broken down into the following groups in the attached table, which also shows the proportion against the total number of employees.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">Regarding the proportion of apprentices employed at the Institute for Apprenticeships, this is a matter for the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. I have asked the Chief Executive, Sir Gerry Berragan, to write to the hon. Member for Ashton-under-Lyne and a copy of his reply will be placed in the Libraries of both Houses.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The Education and Skills Funding Agency is responsible for apprenticeship strategy, policy and delivery and there are 317 employees in this division. </ins>Within the Education and Skills Funding Agency, <del class="ministerial">5<del class="ministerial"> </del></del><ins class="ministerial">8 </ins>employees working on apprenticeships strategy, policy and delivery are apprentices, which represents <del class="ministerial">1.6%</del> <ins class="ministerial">2.5% </ins>of <ins class="ministerial">their workforce.</ins> <del class="ministerial">the total of 317 employees. </del></p><p> </p><p> </p>
