Over 50% of the Idlib population have been displaced from their homes, sometimes multiple times, stretching scarce resources beyond their limits and putting further strain on host communities. However the Venezuelan government continues to refuse to acknowledge that there is a humanitarian crisis.</p><p> </p><p>The UK Government, through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, has a budget of approximately £500,000 this financial year to support Venezuelan democracy, human rights, economic reform, and regional stability and security. Over 22 million people - 75% of the population - are in need of humanitarian assistance. The UN estimates that 17.8 million people in Yemen do not have reliable access to food and 8.4 million people face extreme food shortages.</p><p>On 3 April, the UK announced £170 million in response to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen for the financial year 2018/2019. On 15 March 2018 the Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt, announced that the UK has offered to deliver its next round of financial support earlier than originally planned, to help alleviate the pressure that UNRWA is currently facing. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/03/2018 answer text <p>Yemen has suffered from one of the worst cholera outbreaks ever recorded, at almost 1.1 million suspected cases. Although new cases have declined, cholera is likely to resurge during the upcoming rainy season. Estimates put 74% of districts (representing 22 million people) at risk.</p><p> </p><p>The reason that cholera, a treatable condition which stems from using contaminated water, is so difficult to control is because systems like public health and water and sanitation have broken down.</p><p> </p><p>DFID provided £8 million in the financial year 2017/18 to UNICEF and the International Organization for Migration for prevention, for example providing households with chlorine tablets for drinking water, and treatment for those who are affected. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/11/2017 answer text <p>The UK is the largest bilateral donor to the Rohingya refugee crisis, and in addition to the £35m the UK had committed since the start of this crisis, on October 23<sup>rd</sup> the UK announced a further £12m of support - bringing the UK total to £47m. This funding is already providing food to 174,000 people, safe water and sanitation for more than 138,000 people and emergency shelter for over 130,000 people. In addition, the new funding will allow emergency nutrition support to reach more than 60,000 children under five, counselling and psychological support to reach over 10,000 women suffering from the trauma of war and over 2,000 survivors of sexual violence, and will provide medical help for over 50,000 pregnant women to give birth safely.
